UDATED MAY 26, 2011 – This week’s FEET ON THE STREET band, The New Romance, looks like it will be a lot of fun. The band’s web site promises that we will “know every song, dance for hours and sing at the top of your lungs.” Okay, I’m up for that. Want a preview? Towson’s “Feet on the Street” Friday block parties run until Sept. 30 . The parties are from 6-9:30 p.m, (roads will be closed 5:30 –10 p.m.) on Allegheny Avenue between York Road and Washington Avenue. Free parking will be available at the lot above the old Towson Fitness Center (on the corner of Allegheny & Washington) and the Allegheny surface lots will remain as they are normally. There will be live music, children’s activities, food, beer and wine and more! Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair and blanket.
