It was a great day for bargain hunting

The West Community Yard Sale went off without a hitch.

A Fun-Filled Community Yard Sale Brings West Towson Together
On August 26th, West Towson came alive with a vibrant burst of community spirit as residents gathered for a memorable day of sales. Organized by the West Towson Neighborhood Association, the event brought together neighbors, friends, and visitors from near and far for a day of treasure hunting, laughter, and camaraderie.

The streets of West Towson were lined with an impressive array of tables and blankets, showcasing a wide variety of items for sale. From vintage furniture to gently used clothing, toys, and books, there was something to pique the interest of every visitor. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as neighbors perused the sales, striking up conversations and haggling for bargains. It was a delightful sight to see the community come together, sharing stories and forming new connections.

Anna Gorman, a younger neighborhood resident, said “This is the best day ever. Look what I found!” as she proudly showed off a new bouncy ball and toy bear.

Overall, the community yard sale was enjoyed by all, fostering a sense of togetherness and camaraderie in West Towson. It provided a platform for residents to find new homes to give their under used goods a second life. Though money was made, event organizer and Board Member Erin Hoover said “I really enjoyed seeing people find things that they’ll value more than the previous owners. It’s great when things can stay out of the landfill and find new homes where they’ll be valued.” The Board appreciates Erin taking the lead on this valued event that is sure to be repeated in the future.
